I bought my 22-footer in 2019 because my mooring is on the hard at low tide, I am always crossing shoals, and I like to venture up to Provincetown for the day. This boat cruises super quietly and uses almost no fuel. We see tons of sea life out in Cape Cod Bay.

Our story

Pocket PowerCat launched in 2025 as of a part of a years-long journey to create the ultimate adventure boat.

The vision began when a team of adventure entrepreneurs—with deep expertise designing airships and tethered balloons—turned their attention toward the sea.

The goal was to build a boat with high buoyancy and stability, low draft, bombproof construction, completely modular deck space, and the ability to safely reach islands off the coast of New England—all in a 22-foot package. The first prototype, built in 2018, exceeded all expectations and quickly became inspiration for a boatbuilding business.

All Pocket PowerCat boats are fully customizable, and come with "performance standard, frills optional."
